Shell was about to launch their new global social campaign to promote one of their best-sellers – Shell Helix. The campaign invited car enthusiasts to share an image of their car for the chance to win a trip to the Belgian Grand Prix. The success of the campaign relied heavily on its social reach. And so, we decided to create a teaser video to help us drive that up. Problem was, we didn’t have access to any footage of the track or the Shell Formula 1 drivers. All we had were high res stills.
The solution: slick parallax, a high-tempo soundtrack and dynamic typography. It was such a good result, that it became the client’s favourite piece of the campaign.
